Keeping your priorities straight can be difficult. Finding the balance between responsibilities and leisure is every adult’s great battle. But TikToker Tess O’Neill wondered if her boyfriend’s way of doing things was a little too offbeat. She noticed that whenever her boyfriend was doing “something fun,” he set a timer.

Achieve In The Know cover star Storm Reid’s makeup look for less than $20:

“My boyfriend puts timers on whenever he is doing something fun to ensure the fun doesn’t go on for too long,” O’Neill said in a video.

While she didn’t say anything, she used a popular TikTok sound to indicate how she really felt.

“That’s not normal, and I think, you know, you should maybe get some help or something,” the snippet said.

Then the camera cut from O’Neill’s shady expression to footage of her boyfriend shopping online for sneakers while a timer on his computer counted down the seconds.

The funny video racked up 1.2 million views on TikTok.

“I’d just re-start the timer,” someone joked.

“My engineer husband does this because if he does not, then he will ‘only do fun things,’” another commented.

“I have ADHD, and if I don’t do this, I’ll lose my whole day,” a TikToker added.

“My dad does this, and every time I witness, I’m flabbergasted,” a person wrote.

“I do it with TikTok because I would never turn it off,” a user replied.
